This is actually what I wore on Saturday, but I still mamaged to post it today. It is just me, pairing a black abaya with a shirt of my brother and a hijab in a neutral color, plus a big bag. Have a nice day - Fatima :)
Asslamu Aleykum Ladies! Well, it seems like we are almost at the end of this Diy. The next time I am only going to show you some little things concerning to the "finishing" of your abaya. For the back part of your abaya you need to lay the front part of the other piece of fabric.
Then you pin these pieces together, as seen in the picture.
After the whole pinning procedure you have to cut along the front-part-shape of your abaya, to achieve the back part of your abaya. The only thing you have to do now is to sew both pieces together, but do not forget to sew them on the "left" side (the inner side). Alright, then you are done :)
*The next and last post will be about the hem and the sleeves
Assalamu aleykum everyone!
During the last couple of months I got questions about how I do sport. Also other hijabis asked me at school how I do sport at the sport lesson at school. Alright, here is the answer: I do sport in an abaya and a hijab. My "sport outfit" is pretty much similar to my "casual / normal" outifits.
The only differences are that I bought a wider abaya (click here for the "Sportive Abayas" post), a bigger jersey scarf from Primark (sometimes I do in an amira scarf, too) and a "hijab cap" to wear something comfortable under my hijab, because I do not need to tie that type of underscarf and therefore I do not need to worry about my underscarf respectively about my hair, while doing sport. Many a time I also wear a hoodie or a sport jacket, sometimes because I do sport outside and then it is cold or also because I think that I have to cover more.. lol :D But the jacket I wear in these pictures is a cagoule.
Alright ladies, this is how I do sport and trust me you can also play basketball, soccer, (flag) football, you can jog in an abaya, you can have a great time in in-line skates and you can also ice-skate and even rope skipping is doable!
I would love to see your sport outfit, tweet me yours! :))
